PayMoment: fintech web app and checkout flow
Overview

In fintech, every extra field or ambiguous state in a checkout flow is a customer who leaves: hesitation reads as risk, and risk reads as a reason to close the tab. PayMoment needed a web app built with that as the central design constraint, not an afterthought layered onto an existing flow.

Challenge

Payment flows have to balance trust signals, regulatory information, and speed: pile on too much and people abandon partway through; strip out too much and people don't trust it enough to finish at all. PayMoment's existing flow erred toward too much: every screen tried to reassure and inform at once, which meant no single screen did either job well, and the path from intent to completed payment ran through more steps than the transaction itself justified.

Approach

We rebuilt the flow step by step, auditing every field and screen against one question (does removing this lose a required piece of trust or compliance information, or just add friction) and cutting everything that didn't earn its place. Required disclosures and trust signals were kept, but repositioned to appear exactly when they're relevant instead of front-loaded all at once. We paired the checkout redesign with landing pages built specifically to set the right expectations before someone ever reaches payment, so trust is established earlier in the journey rather than asked for cold at the final step.

Result

A leaner, faster checkout experience built around a single goal: get people to a completed payment without losing them along the way, with trust and compliance information placed where it actually reduces hesitation instead of just adding screens.
